Christmas: Share Your Faith
In five days, Christmas will be here, the day to celebrate Christ’s birth and to give glory to God. Wow! Shouldn’t we do that every day! But, Christmas is a day set aside each year to celebrate the birth of our Savoir. Families come together to worship. But, mostly, families come together to eat a huge meal and to exchange gifts. For some, this is a kettle pot exploding each and every year.
Some people have this Hallmark picture of the perfect family celebrating Christmas. Let me burst your bubble; life does not happen as we see in movies. Families have problems and tensions. Never look on the life of another family with jealousy, because they may have problems hid that you would never want. Don’t wish for another life, just take what God gives you, give glory and thanksgiving for our savoir, and give the day to Jesus, because it is the day we celebrate His birthday
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared
For those who love Him.”
I Corinthians 2:9
Enter the celebration of Christmas with a heart of love, joy and service. Show and share your faith. Don’t be shy praying around those who don’t want to hear your prayer. Show the true spirit of Christmas, share Jesus. Show your love for the Christ child and share the wisdom of Christ’s love. Request respect and a moment from those battling children and read the scriptures and pray. At the same time, listen to them. Do the same with sisters, brothers, and spouses. Let them all see your faith through your actions (Sulking and arguing is not the right action.) Give the day to love others as Christ loved you and plant the seeds of God’s love.
Don’t let this Christmas be regret. Plant the seeds of faith.
