Finding Spiritual Peace

Spiritual peace comes from within our soul.  It fills us with love, harmony, and respect.  There is no room for hate or confusion, because spiritual peace brings righteous and respectful behavior.  Spiritual peace can only come from love, God’s love, where there is no hate and bitterness.  Yes, this brings us to Jesus, because he is the master of bringing peace.

Without Jesus, there was no hope.  Without Jesus in our world, we were aliens to the hope of love and peace.  But God sent Jesus who gave his life so we can have the promise of eternal life with the Spirit of God in us.  Jesus broke down the middle walls we build up that separate us from God and others.  The grave did not defeat Jesus, he arose on the third day, walked among men, and departed to glory to sit on the right hand of God giving us access ‘by one Spirit to the Father.’  All this shows that we are built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets with Jesus being the chief cornerstone.  Jesus is the cornerstone holding us together.  There is only one way to spiritual peace which is through Jesus Christ.  Jesus is our peace.  (Ephesians 2:14-22)

If you are burdened with a very heavy load on your heart, mind, and soul, you can find peace.  This is spiritual peace which we can only find with faith in Jesus.  Jesus can break down the walls of hate, unhappiness, addictions, and sins.  Once that wall is torn down, you can rest in the hope and love of Jesus.  This is better expressed in the words of Paul to the church at Ephesus in chapter 2.

Ephesians 2

1And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
